Aaron Rosenblatt, the veteran quarterback of TJ Osaka, was named the "AFI Player of the Week" for week 5. Rosenblatt led his team to victory in both ends of the weekly double-header, leading scoring drives on nearly every possession, including precision TD bombs on the first play from scrimmage on several drives.
While the inaugural AFI Player of the Week was awarded by an AFI conclave of officials, the AFI announced that begnnign in week 6 (Nov 12) nominees would be announced and online voting would be open to the public.
